On July 25, an emergency rescue vehicle—model SUECF587—manufactured by CIMC Sanctum, a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, was dispatched on an urgent mission. After traveling more than 1,000 kilometers in the opposite direction over 36 hours, it arrived on July 26 in Xiayuan Village, Jishui Town, Weihui City, Xinxiang—the area most severely affected by the disaster. Weihui is the lowest-lying region in the city, suffering from severe urban flooding; its power grid has been damaged beyond repair, and the resulting blackout has caused communication base stations to go offline, leaving the town without water, electricity, or internet access—a veritable “power island” and “information island.”
With floods raging, roads gridlocked, and darkness enveloping the area, a race against time is unfolding in a relay-style rescue effort. At 2:00 a.m. on July 27, the emergency power-rescue vehicle with license plate Su ECF587 overcame numerous challenges to successfully connect to the on-site distribution cabinet, thereby “lighting up” the temporary resettlement center in Xiayuan Village. After enduring several days of scorching heat, more than 5,000 residents can finally enjoy air conditioning; those who had been subsisting on instant noodles are now able to eat hot meals; and mobile phones, air conditioners, electric kettles, and induction cookers have all resumed operation.
Jointly Developed: CIMC Stirling Manufactures China’s First LNG Emergency Rescue Vehicle
This yellow-and-gray Jiangsu-plate truck is hardly noticeable in the muddy water. Yet it braved thousands of miles of wrong-way driving to sustain the hopes of thousands of residents and, with its emergency power supply, kept thousands of families connected and cared for.
In fact, this vehicle is an emergency power-supply rescue truck manufactured by CIMC Sanctum. It was urgently dispatched to Henan for disaster relief under the coordination of Shanghai Aviation Industry, which assembled a rescue team for this mission. The vehicle was jointly developed by CIMC Sanctum, Shanghai Aviation Industry, and Shenzhen Aerospace, and ultimately obtained approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, CCC certification, and environmental protection certification—all under the Sanctum brand—for production and sales. It is deployed in urban emergency response and disaster relief operations to provide critical energy support.
As China’s first LNG-fueled emergency power vehicle, this unit is equipped with a 500-liter LNG tank from Sunda, enabling continuous operation for no less than eight hours. Its highly integrated energy station delivers 80 kW of three-phase AC power and 60 kW of DC fast charging, effectively functioning as a mobile “energy module” or a large-scale “power bank.” Coupled with onboard smart hardware and AI software, the vehicle supports real-time data transmission, remote dispatching, and coordinated operations across multiple locations—addressing critical pain points such as restoring power supply in isolated disaster zones. With a 300-watt lighting output and 360-degree, 250-meter panoramic illumination, material assembly and personnel accommodation can proceed in an orderly manner even at night.
