CIMC Sanctum Delivers Another Batch of LNG Transport Trucks to Nigeria, Supporting the Development of a “Virtual Pipeline”
06 Jul,2022
China attaches great importance to clean-energy cooperation with Africa, having become one of the continent’s principal partners in clean-energy development and a key driver of Africa’s green transition. At present, most of Africa’s energy supply comes from biomass and fossil fuels. Leveraging its technological strengths in clean energy, China is helping African countries expand their renewable-energy capacity, thereby supporting the continent’s economic recovery and development in the wake of the pandemic.

In July 2022, the wind swept through the wheat fields like waves, heralding the busy summer season of Zen meditation; as the southern breeze rose at night, the wheat lay golden across the ridges. Echoing this scene were rows of neatly arranged, yellow-painted tank trucks from CIMC Sanctum—58-cubic-meter LNG cryogenic liquid transport vehicles soon to be delivered to Nigeria. Recently, as batches of these LNG cryogenic transporters slowly rolled out of the factory, it marked another successful mass delivery of CIMC Sanctum–designed and manufactured LNG cryogenic vehicles to customers.
At present, the pandemic has posed severe challenges to both the company’s supply chain and human resources. To ensure the smooth delivery of this order, every department at CIMC Stadion has worked in close coordination—from technical solutions and material procurement to production scheduling, inspection, and shipment—minimizing the impact of the pandemic, striving to meet delivery deadlines, and upholding the spirit of contract fulfillment. Leveraging our robust technological capabilities and superior product quality, we not only successfully dispatched the first batch of 25 units but also maintained uninterrupted production for the second batch of 25 units. In June, during the Mangzhong solar term, we accomplished the arduous task of “busy with sowing and reaping,” seamlessly combining harvesting with planting.
According to available information, the customer’s end-market spans across Nigeria, making it the first energy company in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa to operate entirely on LNG as its fuel. CIMC Sundaing has once again manufactured 50 LNG cryogenic liquid transport vehicles for this Nigerian client. Thanks to their outstanding technical specifications and proven performance that have earned widespread customer approval, these vehicles not only facilitate the efficient transportation of LNG within the region but also underscore CIMC Sundaing’s recognized standing and influence as a global leader in the cryogenic industry, all with the aim of creating new value for the customer.
2022 marks the 40th anniversary of CIMC Group. CIMC Sanctum has consistently upheld the Group’s corporate ethos of “striving for self-improvement and pursuing excellence.” The company’s LNG product portfolio has been widely adopted by gas utilities and LNG application customers both domestically and internationally, establishing Sanctum as a leading supplier in the industry. This success is the result of the collective dedication of every Sanctum employee. We are confident that every seed of hope sown in the cryogenic sector will ultimately bear fruit!
